[When the video feed pops up, it briefly shows the sunny sky and some of the familiar scenery of New Bark Town before a rather unimpressed boy appears on screen. The music has already started to irritate him (since he can't seem to find the source and, eerily enough, it's everywhere), but that's not all that's bothering him.

In fact, one of his eyes visibly twitches when an excited chirp sounds and a cute orange bird peeks at the PokéGear's screen. It seems like he's still thinking over exactly what he wants to ask however, and after he manages to coax the bird to sit still -- well, for the moment anyway -- he finally turns to the PokéGear and indicates the creature beside him.]

What is this thing?

[Someone isn't very talkative. Then again, there are several other things wrong that he'd rather not bring up, all things considered.]

It doesn't seem like Torchic shares the sentiment, as he just takes to settling more onto Sasuke's head and tilting his head at Judith with a questioning peep.] Torchic!

[He's giving Judith a flat look at that, and it doesn't help that Torchic starts peeping in encouragement. Don't worry, he'll start getting attached soon.]

Hn. [Don't mind him, he's just grumpy. Not only is this thing cute, it's almost unbearably happy. It reminds him too much of certain people, but he doubts that the Torchic is trying to hide some emotional turmoil and is just genuinely happy to be there with him.]

[Hey, at least he has a heading to the next town. The rest, he can figure out himself once he gets there. Like food and possible shelter, if he's stuck there for a while.]

A fair amount of supplies, if you're heading to the next town straight away.

[ assuming he's used to camping out... well, that'll come when it comes. ]

It's about a week's travel, if I recall correctly.

[Video] ... I'm noticing a trend here. Sas is starting to end all his threads at the same time.

[Thankfully, he is used to camping out. Some missions involved being away from the mission for days at a time, after all. He nods and, after a moment's pause, disconnects.

If he needs more information, he'll look around for it. Right now, though, he has to get going. Three days is a long time if you don't have that much food and water.]
