Scene 1

[Sometime early Saturday morning - before he gets captured by Bowser, thankfully - Sasuke is seen on camera fighting hand-to-hand with his Lucario. Or, at least it appears to be hand-to-hand until Sasuke blows a giant fireball at the pokémon, who retaliates with an Aura Sphere. The two attacks collide and explode in mid-air before they go at it hand to hand again. The demonstration of special techniques, weapons expertise (from Sasuke anyway) and martial arts goes on for at least ten minutes before Sasuke calls a stop to it silently, causing Lucario to stand tall and nod.

That's about when Sasuke grabs the camera, smirking just a little bit as he wipes the sweat from his brow. It's something he hasn't done in a long time, and he has to say that it feels good to have his chakra and his weapons back.]

I guess it's happened again, hasn't it.

Naruto, Sakura, Tenten, Obito, Shino. I want to fight with all of you. Come to the Lake of Rage as soon as you can.

Scene 2

[In and around Olivine City appears to be none other than Sasuke Uchiha, but something seems different. He's clearly older, taller, and smiling a lot more - more relaxed than his younger self. He has an Arcanine at his side - Yōgan, for those who know him - who seems to be perfectly at ease with the man beside him, having recognized him as his trainer.

When he walks by, he flashes a smile and gives a wave before approaching, fearless and easy-going as he does so.]

Scene 3

[Somewhere in the Ilex Forest, a little boy is running around. He seems frightened and alone, though there is a familiar Arcanine trailing behind him. The ninja animal - at least, that's what he thinks it is - seems to bring him comfort, but it doesn't change the fact that he's lost. He was just training with his big brother to perfect throwing kunai, but now he doesn't know where he is. It's dark, and it doesn't look like the Uchiha training grounds at all!

It's only when he spots someone that he runs up, almost in tears but trying his hardest to hold back. That's when he clears his throat, a little flushed before looking up and asking.]

Uh, hi. Do you know how I can get back to the Uchiha training grounds? I was training with my big brother but I lost sight of him and... Now I have this ninja animal with me, he came in this weird ball, but I still don't know how to get back. Can you help me?

[Eagerly he took it, almost jogging to keep up with the taller man as he started to babble.]

Okay! Did mom introduce us when I was littler? I'm sorry if I don't remember it Mister!

[Sasuke certainly had been a trusting little thing at this age, hadn't he? He wasn't going to argue it, and instead listened patiently for him to finish.]

Not at all, we met separate from that, actually. It's fine you don't remember! I'm sure you and i can still do just fine without. I'm Orochimaru.

It's good to meet you then, Orochimaru-San!

[He grins cheerfully, squeezing his hand and nodding again.]

Do you know my brother too?

I do! I met him first, before I ever met you. [He kept his tone light, heading off down the path and pretending Itachi wasn't a slightly sore subject. Better things to focus on.]

But I always liked you better Sasuke-kun~!

Really?

[Sasuke just brightens further at that, perking at the notion before he tilted his head.]

Why though? Big brother's so good at everything ever! He's really skilled and really really nice!

I was nice to him and he took it the wrong way, I'm sad to say. He got rather upset with me and we haven't spoken since. [He shook his head with a heartfelt sigh, putting a hand to his chest.]

I was very disappointed at the time, but then I met you and that made it all better~♥

I'm glad I could make you happy again mister, but maybe you could try and talk to big brother about it? He's really really great once you get to know him!

We just don't see eye to eye, unfortunately. [He moved his free hand to pet the child's head.]

It's fine, you're willing to be my friend, right?

[He laughs at the hand, swatting at it before he'll nod.]

Sure! I'll be your friend, Orochimaru-san!

[Satisfied he'd captured the child's fascination, he resumed walking at a normal pace.]

Tell me about your training Sasuke-kun?

Well, I train with weapons and katons every day! I'm still trying to master the fireball jutsu because then father will say I'm a real member of the clan when I do! You know, an adult Uchiha! He showed me how to do the seals but he was upset that I couldn't do it... But I'm trying really hard! I'll do it soon, I know I will!

[Little does he know that he only needs a week to actually master the technique...]

Ahhh, is that how it works? No wonder you're such a strong boy. [He gave a low appreciative hum.]

I'm sure you'll grow up very well.

You really think so? I wanna get as good as big brother, but...

[A frown.]

He was a genin at 7, and I'm almost 8 now. I need to catch up, and real fast!

You'll catch up, then overtake him Sasuke-kun, I promise you. In fact, next time we meet I'll even give you a present that should help, mmm?

But it won't mean anything if I don't do it myself! Big brother didn't have anything special helping him do a whole bunch of amazing things, so if I do it then I have to do it without the help of things like that!

Really? That's a different opinion than the one I had when last I saw you. [He squeezed his hand.]

I'll just have to see if you change your mind again.

Different? [He blinks curiously at that, tilting his head a little at the taller man as he slows down a little.]

But I wanna be strong like big brother. He's the best ninja ever, but I'm gonna be just as good as he is!

You will be Sasuke-kun, I promise you. You're a hard worker, aren't you? [He peered down at him, lips quirking.]

Strong, intelligent, yes, you'll do just fine.

[The comment brings a great big smile to his face and he nods in affirmation, moving forward a bit to tug at Orochimaru's hand.]

Let's keep looking, Orochimaru-san!

[He allowed the boy to pull him along, more than a little entertained by the child's antics. For some reason he never realized that Sasuke was like this as a child. Interesting. Itachi truly had done a number on him.]

Of course, just lead me where you might wish to check Sasuke-kun, and I'll tell you if I see him.
