[It's early in the morning when Sasuke is woken up by Sakura. He groans when he sees the cheerful Lucario greeting him, and when he's pulled along to see why...

Well, that makes his morning a whole lot worse.

A sigh leaves Sasuke before a video goes up on the network, revealing the tired boy (sans headband) in a closed, rather plain room with his happy Lucario leaning on his shoulders. Seems like the radio on his gear is tuned in to the 'Town Channel' to cover up whatever background music there is, too...]

I have a lot of eggs and am putting them up for sale. There's Zubat, Shinx, Emolga, Oshawott, Riolu, Treecko, Yanma, Feebas, Charmander, Buneary, Vulpix, Torchic, and Purrloin eggs. I can send them over the PC to you.

[Yeah he's incredibly tired right about now. Shutting off the feed on that note.]

[A soft 'hmm'. She's got time, and plenty of it. It's not like sanding the stairs or fixing the roof is one-day project, anyway.]

There should be, so long as nothing else happens all of a sudden.

[Headshake.] We've got it. [So long as Hope doesn't trigger a trap or dozen.] You focus on dealing with this.

All right. But if you change your mind, I'm open. Or you can borrow some of the pokémon too.

[Particularly the Lucario hanging all over him and being particularly loving this morning... Please save him Lightning.]

[Somebody seems desperate. She looks at him, then at Sakura--ah. There's the problem. The corner of her mouth twitches upwards a smidge.]

You know, you can ask if you need help with something.

I'm asking if you need it.

[Someone is also stubborn and irritatingly proud, might take a while to break that down.]

Not right now. I'll call you if that changes.

[Kiddo, you better outgrow that fast. It would save you so much trouble...and yes, she knows from experience.]

[You suck Lightning. :|; He shouldn't have to outright ask, it totally ruins his image as a guy who... Doesn't like anybody.

Let's get the eggs going.

[THAT'S KIND OF ASKING RIGHT?]

[There's a soft amusement uncurling in Lightning's chest at that, but she only nods and moves to pick up one of the larger eggs. Was that so hard, Sasuke?]

You should get her to let go of you first.

[Sakura shook her head, almost pouting at Lightning when her grip around Sasuke tightens.]

... I'm not sure I can.

[soggypastry]

[Shifting the egg so it won't fall and giving Sakura a look. Really? Come on, Sakura. Don't make her go get Sen to tug you into a playfight. Strike gets jealous easily.]

You don't have her Pokéball on you?

[Rather than explaining, he pulls out the pokéball and tries to return Sakura...

Only, she moves her head and whines a little so that the beam misses. Sasuke tries again.

She dodges it again.

On more time, at her paw.

Sakura moves it before promptly hugging him tightly.]

[Watching that with an expression that goes from curious to unamused, before she shifts the egg again and raises two fingers to her lips to whistle sharply. There's a bark from downstairs, then the clattering of claws on the steps themselves, before Sen bounds into the room like the bouncy ball of blue fur he still is most days. Will Sakura take a playmate in exchange for her trainer?]

[She's on alert at the other Riolu, blinking a few times before contemplating the situation.

It doesn't take her too long to leap at Sen, barking happily and making to play almost immediately. And, at last, giving Sasuke a bit of relief before he made to actually grab an egg where he could. It would be two, but he wasn't about to risk that with his grip as shaky as it is.]

[Yay playmate! Sen should be able to keep her busy for a good while, rolling and bouncing and barking and just being an overgrown puppy. Lightning, on the other hand, will be following Sasuke down and putting herself between him and the room they just left. No need to give Sakura incredibly easy access, after all.]

[beforethedarkness]

[He nods to Lightning as he starts down the stairs, careful of the egg in his arm as he goes. It's still a little weird to accept help like this, but what choice does he have? Not much of one at all, really.

And, being put in a position where he can't do too much by himself... It's frustrating, but at least he's not near anyone who would take advantage of his condition.]
