[Sasuke is shown sitting near one of the windows of the training center, petting the head of a sleeping golden Charmander while another egg rests in his lap and his Riolu naps on his head. He spares the camera a glance, then looks up to the apparent 'camera man' before his eyes focus on the lens.]

The New Year is tomorrow. Is there any special holiday thing that everyone does for the New Year after Christmas is over?

Are we going anywhere in the next couple of weeks? I wanted to try challenging Erika with Ino and Hiruzen soon.

[Both of his little pokémon are startled into waking up when Sasuke is jolted from Hiruzen suddenly hugging him, earning the camera a rather flabbergasted look from Sasuke before he manages to shove the bird off of him.] Hiruzen!

[There is no hiding the joyful crowing from the rather large pokémon before Sasuke just sighs and shakes his head, replacing Sakura on it after before trying to sooth his shaking Charmander into sleeping again.]

Pretty easy. Then again I was kind of overleveled for them, I think.

... I'm only taking Hiruzen and Ino into the fight against Erika. They'll have higher levels and type advantages by the time I go do it, so that should help keep the fight fair.

Sounds like you're already set for this gym. Blaze is still in the sixties, I think. Maybe I can use him...

Have one for back-up and you should be okay. Just because they're lower level doesn't mean we should underestimate her. She is a gym leader for a reason.

Most of the New Year customs I did back home aren't available here.

I do plan on waking up early to watch the sunrise tomorrow morning, as well as paying a visit to the shrine in Ilex Forest this week.

... We would have a festival for the coming year in the night before going to watch the sun rise and visit the local temple on the first day of the new year.

Smoking the place up, for one. We're planning on packing a handful of Pokémon to get the job done.

[Humming and nodding. Even not knowing what kind of security that the tower would have, the smoke cover was a good way to at least hide their identities while crawling around. But, without more information, it's hard to think about just how it'll go.]
