[Ren opens the door and takes a few step inside the room. He'll admit that he's not familiar with these kind of situations, but he doesn't let that bother him too. It's most likely awkward for Sasuke too.]

I wanted to see how you're doing.

[That's strange coming from him isn't it? He'll add: ] It's because I know how it feels to be targeted by Team Rocket.

[He meets his eye for a moment before glancing to the wall, letting out a soft sigh.]

Being targeted doesn't bother me.

How about the feeling of not being able to do much about it? I know it bothers me that I can't really live normally because of them right now.

[Because clearly something is bothering you.]

No one thinks I can, no.

[A sigh and he shakes his head.]

... I wasn't expecting it from Lightning. Maybe you and Hope, but not her.

I don't really know you - or the others - so I wouldn't really know. Though I do believe that everyone is capable of doing something about the situations they're in. You just need to find out what you can and can not do.

[He doesn't sound lecturing as he talks, because he doesn't really want to lecture anyone. He's just casually speaking his mind out.]

Bowser... is a dangerous opponent. He has Team Rocket by his side and who knows what they do to Pokémon over there - at least in the science derpartment. However, there's a limit to how much his Pokémon can really grow to - a limit that everyone can reach and be equal with him.

I know. And I know that I wasn't enough to be a match, especially not with one pokémon weakened from my battle with Jasmine. That's why I called for help in the first place.

Lightning knows we're capable in battle - that we're soldiers trained for situations like this. I've fought alongside her before. [another sigh as he feels his emotions getting to him before he tries to restrain them.]

... It doesn't matter how capable she and Hope are. They still could have gotten into a really bad situation against Bowser. It's happened before to our teacher, and because we didn't abandon him and run like he wanted us to, he survived when he would have died otherwise. I thought I was at least strong enough to give her back-up in case that happened again... But whatever growth I've gone though didn't matter at all.

[Ren listened to Sasuke's words quietly. It was clear that he was disappointed.]

I agree that things could have gone out of hand, so the thought of offering them back up was a good thing. Especially since you have the experience, as you said. [He tried to retreat as he was ordered... but that was mostly because that wasn't the kind of world he came from. He wasn't a fighter type.]

Though, if you ask me... I think Miss Farron didn't tell you to retreat because she doesn't trust you. She just didn't want to take the risk that you'd get more injured because you had just finished a gym battle and are still recovering from the last time. I mean, if I would be a leader type like she is, I'd be worried about my comrades health above all else.

[That's at least how he sees things... but then again he doesn't have any experience on situations like these.]

That isn't what she said last time. She just talked down to us like we were stupid kids who didn't know or recognize a thing about the situation.

Well, I think she's the kind of person who doesn't really know how to express herself sometimes. [Lineface is not the solution to every problem, really...]

Though the only way to know how she really feels is to ask her.

... I know. I was going to try and talk to her soon - before we leave.

That's a good idea. It doesn't do anyone good if things are left unresolved.

[He's been in that situation too many times.]

Well... if there's ever anything you need to know about Team Rocket, don't hesitate to ask. I might not know all the details, but I do know quite a lot.

[He nods, looking over to Ren before he leans back on his good arm with a soft breath.]

[He leans back on the bed, glancing at him again before his eyes go to the gear once more - to the texts he's been reviewing - before he finally tries to type something. It's not going to be the next day until that text is finished and sent, though.]
