[The camera's shaking a little bit when the feed turns on, with a Torchic and a Zubat play-fighting on the floor nearby. They get hushed and told not to use any special attacks before a pale hand reaches for the camera and turns it upward. Sure enough, there's Sasuke, holding the container for his egg and wearing something other than his usual attire of blue and white. The zipper is pulled down by quite a bit too, revealing the black t-shirt beneath the coat as well as some of his neck. Wait, is that egg moving in the container?

He sighs, noting the gathering of clouds on the horizon before he speaks into the feed.]

Where and how do you train in thunderstorms?

[He could deal with training in the rain, but even he knows that the lightning would be pushing it for himself and his pokémon. That would just be an unnecessary risk. By the looks of it, that storm is going to ground him in Cherrygrove for a while...

His question asked, he shuts the feed off and instead turns his attention onto what he can purchase now with his newly-gotten wage. At least this way he can work for another week to get his funds up, if only so that he won't have to stay in Violet City for that long.]

Personally? I'd just take a break, and make up for it the next time the weather's clear - or at least wait until the lightning dies down.

[Crud. He sighs and glances away from the camera to the two pokémon again, although the Zubat seems to have gotten tired of playing and instead goes to perch on Sasuke's shoulder. Off-screen Torchic can be heard chirping as he tries to jump onto the bed and follow.

Great, he's going to fall behind...]

Yeah... trust me, I don't like it either, but it's better than getting stuck out in the storm. But hey, maybe you can prepare for the next town while you're waiting - you know, stock up on supplies, look up Pokemon in the 'Dex, stuff like that. I mean, you're one of those guys who's going for the badges, right?

[It's just a guess - after all, she hasn't seen people care much about training unless they were going after the Gym leaders]

I am. But I'm not leaving here until next week. [Even if he's clearly not going to like it, he can't deny the logic behind her words. At least he can research a little more into what he wants his ideal team to be. He nods and glances to the Zubat on his shoulder, who makes a little noise of question.

Hey, that's not a bad deal - and I bet it keeps you busy, too. It sure beats being stuck inside while it rains. Are you working at one of the shops, or somewhere else?

[Solder has his ridiculous grass "camouflage" tied to his helmet again with his black belt, and from the looks of it he's hiding somewhere amongst vegetation. The sounds of his Pokemon punching a tree can be heard...]

That's an easy one; you train IN the thunderstorm by going outside and doing some push-ups.

... or punch some trees.

Umm... you might be able to train a bit inside with another trainer, if the place you're in has a decent enough room for it.

*Though unless it was a gym, that wasn't really likely.*

[Finally, a decent suggestion! Unfortunately, that requires two things; Sasuke being social, and a trainer to actually battle with in town. Not to mention that said town is Cherrygrove... Who knows if he'll be able to manage it.]

So... which town are you in right now? I've been to a few places, so maybe I could let you know if I knew any good places to train indoors.

[It's only the second town, and as far as he knows there isn't much reason to stay other than to pick up supplies. Maybe this girl knows more, though.

His train of thought is cut short when the cylinder he's holding shakes rather violently, causing the boy to stiffen and frown as his egg gets his full attention. In fact, it would almost as been as if, after that jolt, the video had frozen, but the Zubat flying above his head and the Torchic persisting in trying to get onto the bed thankfully prove otherwise.]

... Sorry. I didn't stay in Cherrygrove all that long. I spent most of my time here in Violet.

*She would've said more, but the egg doing it's thing was definitely something that he needed to pay attention to. She'll wait until it hatches or something else happens before saying anything else.*

The other two pokémon had been watching with great interest too, the Zubat finally perching on Sasuke's head and seeming to peer at the newest member of their group while Torchic circles around to look more closely. Obviously, he hadn't quite been expecting it to hatch so soon.]

*Hikari smiled, looking over at the new baby pokémon.*

Well, it looks like you have another one now. If I remember right, that's an electric type. That's going to be a big help once you get to Violet City if you want to challenge Falkner.

[What? When did risk get involved in some hard core manly training in a thunderstorm?]

Yeah. Blitzle is. [Hesitently he starts petting the new baby, and when he gets rewarded with it licking his face he stiffens visibly. Yeah, he's not used to this at all. Why did he want an egg again?]

[Aidou is actually on the same route, going towards Cherrygrove, but he doesn't really know that so he'll reply the feed.]

[Great. His frown deepens a little as, by that point, it looks like he's pinned under the Blitzle lying across his lap while a little Torchic sits atop his head.]

So I'm stuck here.

The worst part is that we're stuck in this whole world. What's a few days in some town gonna do?

[The punching in the background pauses as Soldier's Sawk, Spy appears to stare at the Pokegear. Oh, his master was just ~~trolling~~ talking 'American' to another person. Spy salutes the two before disappearing offscreen to resume punching a tree.]

Heheh... you should use that disguise more often, Spy, makes you less smelly but really weirdly quiet!

Put off my training. [Okay, maybe not his training specifically, but it's not only the pokémon who get a work out day in and day out.]
