[He isn't close to it, at least not then -- in fact he's on the beach, sitting some distance away from the shore as he watches the waves continue to massage the warm sand and basking in rays of sunlight still showing as the sun begins to set.]

But while Zan settles in to bask in the last of the sunlight just behind them like the lazy guard cat he is, Lightning is giving Sasuke a thorough look over before speaking. Given what she saw of his reaction to Itachi, she's a bit surprised that he's here of all places. What happened back there?]

[Aside from looking a little tired and pensive, he seems fine. Granted, he's feeling just slightly weak from not eating as much as he should, but that's the absolute least of his concerns at the moment.

[Both hands clench into tight fists at her sides as she glares right back, then just sighs and drops down to sit next to him, letting her chin rest in her hands as she stared at the wall across from him.]
