Scene 1

[Sometime early Saturday morning - before he gets captured by Bowser, thankfully - Sasuke is seen on camera fighting hand-to-hand with his Lucario. Or, at least it appears to be hand-to-hand until Sasuke blows a giant fireball at the pokémon, who retaliates with an Aura Sphere. The two attacks collide and explode in mid-air before they go at it hand to hand again. The demonstration of special techniques, weapons expertise (from Sasuke anyway) and martial arts goes on for at least ten minutes before Sasuke calls a stop to it silently, causing Lucario to stand tall and nod.

That's about when Sasuke grabs the camera, smirking just a little bit as he wipes the sweat from his brow. It's something he hasn't done in a long time, and he has to say that it feels good to have his chakra and his weapons back.]

I guess it's happened again, hasn't it.

Naruto, Sakura, Tenten, Obito, Shino. I want to fight with all of you. Come to the Lake of Rage as soon as you can.

Scene 2

[In and around Olivine City appears to be none other than Sasuke Uchiha, but something seems different. He's clearly older, taller, and smiling a lot more - more relaxed than his younger self. He has an Arcanine at his side - Yōgan, for those who know him - who seems to be perfectly at ease with the man beside him, having recognized him as his trainer.

When he walks by, he flashes a smile and gives a wave before approaching, fearless and easy-going as he does so.]

Scene 3

[Somewhere in the Ilex Forest, a little boy is running around. He seems frightened and alone, though there is a familiar Arcanine trailing behind him. The ninja animal - at least, that's what he thinks it is - seems to bring him comfort, but it doesn't change the fact that he's lost. He was just training with his big brother to perfect throwing kunai, but now he doesn't know where he is. It's dark, and it doesn't look like the Uchiha training grounds at all!

It's only when he spots someone that he runs up, almost in tears but trying his hardest to hold back. That's when he clears his throat, a little flushed before looking up and asking.]

Uh, hi. Do you know how I can get back to the Uchiha training grounds? I was training with my big brother but I lost sight of him and... Now I have this ninja animal with me, he came in this weird ball, but I still don't know how to get back. Can you help me?

[Score! Okay, so it was a million times easier to get to a place he knew the name of, and he didn't even have any false starts, managing to arrive with just a bad stumble.]

I'm here! You know, I'm gonna miss that quick travel thing something serious.

You mean the randomly appearing in places here?

[Big sigh. So Obito's learned how to control it...]

Yep! Though it seems to work different for everyone. If you hadn't told me where you were I would have probably ended back in some really bizarre places again.

[He'll pause before looking over Obito again, nodding appraisingly.]

So are we fighting?

That's what it seems like, yeah.

[He pulled a kunai, flipping it in his fingers before grinning.]

Sure, if you want.

[He smirked and the fight began. It took a while and was a close match, but eventually there was only one boy standing.

Sasuke wiped off the sweat from his brow, panting hard as he just stared at Obito. He hadn't expected him to be so strong...]

[Obito was sprawled out on his back, panting as he worked out that he had totally just lost that fight. Damn.]

I'm so winning the next one! [First, however, he had to figure out how to sit up and went about doing that.]

Maybe. I'll admit you were tough to beat.

[He nods, moving to sit and sigh as he leans back on his hands a bit.]

I might've been okay if you hadn't gotten a jolt in on me.

[He rubbed his side with a grimace.]

I didn't even know you were anything other than a fire affinity.

I learned that from Kakashi before the final round of the chuunin exams. I'm glad I could control it enough to not kill you, though.

[He gave him a very dry look that wasn't exactly amused.]

Yeah, thanks for that. I didn't exactly want to be dead.

I don't know anyone who would.

Well, okay, I see your point there.

[He shook his head and leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees.]

You're pretty good.

Hn. Not good enough. I'm still not anywhere close to where he is - or was when he was my age.

Maybe we're more alike than either of us have been giving each other credit for then. I was something of a late bloomer but... [He gave a small shrug.]

That doesn't mean you won't make up for it later, right?

... I might. I won't know if I don't train hard.

Then there you go. [He finally pushed to fully standing and stretched, trying to work out the stiffness that wanted to set in from the fight before it could.]

Who knows, you might be more impressive than anyone that came before either of us, eventually.
