[It seems like Sasuke's packing up to go somewhere when the camera turns on. He frowns when he notices that someone's holding up his pokégear too, reaching to take it back and missing as the mysterious cameraman steps out of reach.] Knock it off. We can train later.

[A warble sounds and the boy sighs before he stops what he's doing - that is, packing away his other outfit into his bag - and reaches to take the camera again. There's a bit of time before he succeeds, sighing and frowning.] Hiruzen. We can train later.

[The pokémon makes another noise before appearing on camera, proving to be a Combusken, before Sasuke turns to the camera. It seems like he doesn't notice that said pokémon is starting to unpack his things behind him while he takes the opportunity to address a question to the network.]

Where do you find evolution information in the pokédex? I read somewhere that some pokémon evolve when they're affectionate enough towards their trainers, but that and leveling doesn't work for all of them. I'm looking for information about Scyther and Growlithe, as well as on Golbat to confirm something.

... Hiruzen! [Look at who just noticed his pokémon. The feed cuts out there.]

[After a few hours, all of Sasuke's pokémon are in their balls and he's quietly trying to sneak away, sparing the rooms he knows they're all in a glance before walking out of the inn. It isn't that he doesn't like travelling with them... Not that he'd ever admit it if he did, but it has at least been interesting with them. But he wants to continue his training, and it seems like none of them is planning on taking the gym challenge. So, he's decided to continue alone.

The only courtesy Sasuke has is to leave behind a note. Otherwise, he starts on his way and somehow gets it through his head that he won't be stopped.]

I'm going to Pewter City.

[Sasuke never was very wordy, and that note is no exception.]

Some pokemon evolve with stones or by trading them. And with some trades, you have to have a pokemon hold a special item.

To get my Slowking, I had to trade a slowpoke holding a king's rock.

But I know that Growlithe evolve when you use a fire stone on them.

I see. Where can I get a fire stone? And is there anything else I should know before evolving Growlithe?

I think you can get them at the Goldenrod Department store.

Depends on what level it's at. They learn attacks faster when they're in their first stage.

Good to know. [Well, he wasn't planning on focusing on Growlithe for a while anyway...]

Is there anything in the pokédex to let you look up how pokémon evolve?

There should be something. They usually show evolution chains.

It might depend on if you've seen them or not.

They don't just have all the information from the start, do they? [Well that's annoying.]

Not really, but a lot of people have figured stuff out, so you can probably ask around.

I think it's kind of fun to make the discovery though.

I'd rather Scyther evolved sooner than later. It knows all the moves it can as a Scyther, but its evolution Scizor might learn different ones.

I don't really know a lot about Scizor, so I don't know. But there's a good chance for that to happen.

... Its type coverage is better as well. That's why I want to know.

[After a beat, he glanced up to the feed.] Do you care about battling at all?

Of course I do. I kind of have to if I'm going to be the Champion.

[He dreams big.]

[Even if it only seems like it's for an instant, Sasuke can't help pulling his lips into an unmistakable smirk at that.]

Then after I battle Kairi, I'm coming after you Roxas.

Alright then. Just as a warning, I won't hold back, so you'll need to be tough.

Same goes for you. You'd better be ready for me.

[Give him a moment, he's frowning and not entirely sure of if he wants to ask about something else or not. But, eventually he makes his decision.]

Where did you start collecting badges? [Because obviously Roxas has them if he wants to be the strongest in the region.]

I started in Violet City.

When I first got here, travelling around the region wasn't as widespread and you had to walk everywhere pretty much. I spent a long time in Violet leveling my pokemon up before I could take on Falkner.

[He still likes walking.]

I was thinking of starting in Kanto, since I'm already here.

[seasaltkeys]

That makes sense.

I don't really know a lot about the Kanto gyms though.

All I have to go off of are the elite teams Riku has written about. Whatever I run into will be simpler to defeat than that.

[Even if he fully intends to go back and challenge the elite teams when he can.

Yeah, you'll probably be challenging the regular teams.

Just, don't get too cocky about it. Someone like Riku might say they're easy, but they're tougher than they seem.

[He just smirks and shakes his head.]

I won't be beaten that easily.

[He nods and turns off the feed then, sitting back and thinking about the future. He'd better make his team as strong as possible if he wants to fight Roxas, if only so that he won't lose. That and he wants to see what Roxas is really capable of, too. Maybe it'll be interesting.]
