That depends on where the others are located.

Not sure. If I had to guess, they went to pick up Sakura and they're probably near Cherrygrove City or Violet City right now, or otherwise flying somewhere else.

I've gotten warning from Lightning that there's an old Team Rocket base here, but I don't know if it's active. I haven't seen anyone around in uniform but they might not be wearing it.

I've not heard anyone mention it but I can ask around. Someone's bound to know.

Why Cianwood?

Why not? I've no concrete plans as to destination and there are many shinobi to avoid in the other direction. I may consider going to Kanto instead.

I'm near Azalea. I'll take the long way to Mahogany, take my time to get there and spend a few nights in each town. Then I'm moving on to Kanto.

Yeah.

If you're going for badges, you'll want either Violet's and Cianwood's first or Celadon's and Saffron's. It'll take a lot of training either way, but Cianwood and Saffron's badges give you the machine that teaches pokemon to effectively carry passengers. Celadon or Violet's badge is needed to actually use it.

[Maybe the 2+ weeks it'll take for Itachi to get there will be enough for Sasuke to be ready to face him again. Especially since he was serious about taking the long way around.]

Exactly why it'll be better to travel to Kanto.

[With all the other shinobi lurking around Violet for who knows how long.]

There's no need to rush. I'm in no hurry to go anywhere. Collecting badges is not a priority of mine. So stay - go, do what you want to and take the time you need. I'll be around Johto a while longer before moving on and I'll see you in Mahogany eventually.

The question you should ask yourself is: are you ready to see me?

[To be honest, Itachi has no idea what Sasuke needs to tell him. He died before Sasuke got to say anything in response to knowing the truth.]

I've always done whatever necessary for what I thought you needed. Some you don't even know about yet. And I certainly can't start changing now, can I? So in that case I'll absolutely have to stick around.
